Aweber Form code and Popup Blockers

Came across a small problem today when trying to use an Aweber form which opens the thank you page in a new browser window… It doesn’t happen!

I use Kaspersky Internet Security and it blocks the new window from opening.

The system I am using gives the reader the option to opt in to updates on the download page. I wanted the thank you page to open in a new browser window so the download page was still open.

The Kaspersky blocking meant I had to go the ‘forward variables’ route and design a special download/thank you page so the subscriber gets to see all their optin information and still get their downloads.

I’ll put together a tutorial which explains how I did this sometime in the future…
